October 24 of this year marks the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the United Nations – an organization that began its work on this day in 1945 after the entering into effect of the United Nations Charter with the firm resolution to "save succeeding generations from the scourge of war", and to "reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights".
This year marks 60 years since approval of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. For this reason, the United Nations System in Venezuela dedicates its day to commemorating this occasion.

A commitment to academic quality: implementation of the EFQM quality management model and technological-scientific development in ITCA-FEPADE
Convinced that, as an institution of higher education, the most important contribution that can be offered to the development of society is to train professionals with high quality standards, in 1996 ITCA-FEPADE decided to begin to apply the EFQM quality management model to the educational sector.

The theme of the meeting was "Social inclusion in higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean".

Argentine Graduate Education Network launches an article competition for its first journal to be published in 2009
The first issue of the Argentine Journal of Higher Education is projected to be available in the middle of next year. The publication is under the responsibility of the Argentine Graduate Education Network, and will include articles written by the public after stringent editorial assessment.
