In Cartagena we reached agreement regarding the themes around which consensus must be built in order to attain convergence in national higher education systems, the achievement of which will make possible the construction of the Latin America and Caribbean education area and from this, ENLACES.
     


 

Accreditation of graduate courses and regional integration as a means toward teacher and scientific development
Graduate courses are a means of guaranteeing the production of new knowledge, and accreditation is the mechanism to assure their quality. ..

UNESCO, Library of Congress and partners launch World Digital Library
UNESCO and 32 partner institutions will launch the World Digital Library, a Web site that features unique cultural materials from libraries and archives from around the world, at UNESCO Headquarters on 21 April.

Latin American and Caribbean students toward the UNESCO World COnference on Higher Education 2009
During the World Social Forum of 2009, the student movement launched "Education is not merchandise. A campaign in favour of removing education from WTO agreements". The campaign presents a platform and invites the entire education movement that defends public education to become acquainted with and contribute to the major themes that will be treated at the WCHE.
